He blogged about it at https://rootsoftheequation.wordpress.com/2015/03/30/sop-portfolios/. I will also be starting this kind of portfolio of math practices this year, but ours are not Common Core, so not sure if that would be helpful to you, but I'll definitely post some examples once kids complete a few. Mine will also ask kids to rate themselves on each practice (there will be language on the rubric describing each possible level of mastery achieved) and give themselves feedback on how to improve.Anna Blinsteinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13960574914938362477noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-812794395259173668.post-57322642061036884562015-08-28T16:58:27.561-04:002015-08-28T16:58:27.561-04:00Thanks for sharing your kids' examples, they&#...Thanks for sharing your kids' examples, they're really helpful as I try to imagine what sorts of things my kids could write.Tina Cardonehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00549943329133396794noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-812794395259173668.post-6881925150324354642015-08-28T10:27:54.995-04:002015-08-28T10:27:54.995-04:00I really like this idea, Tina. I've had my students write journal reflections on using the practices, but I like that your students will end up reflecting on each of the practices at least twice during the year. The journal reflections have given me much insight to what my students have learned and how they have learned it.<br />https://easingthehurrysyndrome.wordpress.com/2013/06/19/standards-for-mathematical-practice-student-journals/Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
